Quent Gillard - Biography
Quent has more than 25 years of experience in the broad environmental impact assessment arena, including 20 years of NEPA and site selection experience. Over the years, he has managed multidisciplinary professional teams, served as technical director and/or principal investigator on both small and large, simple and complex, and highly controversial programs. This extensive program and project experience readily translates to any potentially controversial and/or litigious project.
Born in Germany, raised and educated in England, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nottingham. After coming to the United States, he obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago.
In addition to his consulting, Quent has taught at Rutgers, Columbia, George Mason and George Washington Universities, and at the University of Maryland. He was also a senior policy analyst at the U.S. Synthetic Fuels Corporation, responsible for assessing the environmental carrying capacity of the major synthetic fuels resource regions for the corporation's Recommended Comprehensive Strategy Report to the U.S. Congress. In addition, he has served as a research proposal reviewer for the National Science Foundation, Washington, D.C.
